Transitions; My husband and I sold our apartment yesterday to move into MORE SPACE!!! Unfortunately, our rental building did not approve us in time for a seamless move, and so… we were left homeless. Thank goodness for my parents, who have a temporary home in NYC and we are staying there for the next couple of nights, until we get approved, and… we just got approved!!! Now we wait to hear about our new move in date. And so it goes…the ebbs and flows, the highs and lows, the good and the bad. I realize I’ve not been listening to too much music lately during this period, but then I thought, music is more than just songs on the radio, the pandora station, and my itunes. Music is the sound of the Amtrak train running past the apartment in the middle of the night. Music is my husband being near me. Music is transitions. Music is of course also music, defined as, vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Let’s all make transitions, let’s all make music, together we can make our own beautiful harmonies in yoga, in song, in action, and in life.
